Project Overview

This project will aim to directly assess the likely economic impacts of climate change on key sectors of the Caribbean economies, to stimulate governments, regional institutions and private sector actions to develop and implement policies to mitigate and adapt to climate change. Indirectly further alert Caribbean public opinion to the urgency of the climate change challenge, and its potential socio-economic impact on the participating countries. Comparable economic reviews are being conducted by ECLAC for the South American region (ECLAC Santiago) and for the Central American region (ECLAC Mexico)
