20 July 2016|Announcement

The annual report, which updates growth projections for the region’s economies, will be presented in a press conference to be held at its headquarters in Santiago, Chile.

The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will present next Tuesday, July 26, its Economic Survey of Latin American and Caribbean 2016, a publication updating growth estimates for the region’s countries in the current year.

ECLAC’s Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena, will present the report during a press conference that will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the organization’s headquarters in Santiago, Chile, and will be broadcast live via Internet at the institution’s Web site.

The Economic Survey of Latin American and Caribbean 2016 is one of ECLAC’s most important annual reports. It analyzes Latin America and the Caribbean’s economic performance during the year’s first semester and delivers the perspectives for the following months.

Additionally, in this edition the thematic chapters of the Survey will be focused on examining the challenges Latin American countries have to mobilize financing for development resources in the framework of the 2030 Agenda.
