Workshop "Use of the MERCOSUR and South American Input-Output Tables for the Analysis of Value Chains"

The workshop "Use of the MERCOSUR and South American Input-Output Tables for the Analysis of Value Chains" will be held In the city of Montevideo between May 13 and 15th, 2019.

This workshop, which will be taught by economists from the International Trade and Integration Division of ECLAC, is sponsored by the MERCOSUR Secretariat. Officials from various public institutions of MERCOSUR member countries, mainly Ministries of Industry and Foreign Trade, Production, and Foreign Affairs, among others, as well as officials and technicians of the MERCOSUR Secretariat will participate in the training.

The core component of the workshop will be the use of input-output techniques and the development of indicators for the analysis of national, regional and global value chains. The participants will carry out practical exercises based on the input-output tables produced for MERCOSUR and South America.
