The President of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno, and ECLAC’s Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena, led the inauguration of the VII Ministerial Conference on the Information Society in Latin America and the Caribbean, which is being held through Thursday.
ECLAC’s Executive Secretary participated in a high-level event at the headquarters of the European Union in Brussels, in which the Colombian peace process was analyzed.
With the Cartagena Declaration, approved at the end of the Sixth Ministerial Conference on the Information Society, the region agrees to the 2020 Digital Agenda to achieve sustainable development with equality.
