Women’s Affairs Ministers and Authorities from Latin America and the Caribbean Will Meet to Reaffirm the Commitment to Gender Equality and Moving Towards the Care Society
The meeting, which will be held on November 7-11 in Buenos Aires, is organized by ECLAC in coordination with UN Women. It is the main intergovernmental forum on women’s rights and gender equality in the region.
On June 22-23, a Special Meeting of the Presiding Officers of the Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean will take place using a hybrid format.
The regional organization's Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena, will present the document during a virtual press conference next Wednesday, February 10.
The presentation will take place on Wednesday, August 19, at 10 a.m. local time in Panama (11 a.m. in Chile), during a webinar that will feature the participation of authorities from the region’s countries.

On Tuesday 25 October, the intergovernmental meeting in Montevideo will be opened by President Tabaré Vázquez, together with other high-level authorities of Uruguay and representatives of United Nations agencies.
ECLAC and the Government of Uruguay will organize on October 25-28 the XIII Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean, which will include a series of panel discussions and side events.
