The report, prepared by ECLAC with support from UNFPA, was presented to countries in the framework of the Fifth Meeting of the Presiding Officers of the Regional Conference on Population and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The meeting, which was postponed in 2020 due to the global health crisis prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, will be held at ECLAC’s central headquarters in Santiago, Chile using a hybrid model, meaning a mix of in-person and virtual participation.
