High-profile Caribbean leaders and decision-makers, including the Premier of the British Virgin Islands, are set to explore how innovative laws can boost climate finance in Caribbean SIDS at the event titled “Climate Change and Environmental Legislation in Support of the Delivery of the New Programme of Action for SIDS”. The initiative is being convened by the Parliamentary Observatory on Climate Change and Just Transition (OPCC), on 29 May 2024 in Antigua and Barbuda, as a side event to the 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4).

With small island developing States (SIDS) facing a shaky and uncertain future, this initiative will lean on island voices to make the case that SIDS and their way of life are worth fighting for.
