The United Nations regional economic commission’s Executive Secretary, José Manuel Salazar-Xirinachs, made an official, three-day visit to the South American country, where he met with high-level authorities and participated in a seminar on Financing for the Big Push for Sustainability.
The event will be held on Thursday, April 20 in the framework of the first in-person meeting of the Parliamentary Observatory on Climate Change and Just Transition (OPCC).
ECLAC’s Office in Brasilia, along with the Global Compact Network Brazil, held a “Big Push for Sustainability” webinar on May 26 in which more than 60 case studies on investments for sustainable development in Brazil were presented.
Researchers, private-sector professionals, businesspeople, representatives of civil society, policymakers and civil servants are invited to submit case studies.
